天之川学园高中来了一位理飞机头并穿短袍的奇怪转校生，他的名字是如月弦太朗，有着“和全校同学成为朋友”的远大目标。初到校的弦太朗结识了神秘少年歌星贤吾，并再次遇见青梅竹马城岛有希。

　　主角中越力（松本润 饰）是有两个孩子父亲，职业是小说家。他对身边人的关心和共感比其他人多一倍。看见幸福的人会高兴，看见悲伤的人会悲痛，看到烦恼的人会非常在意，上前问候。带着「想帮助他人」「希望身边的人能友好共处」的心的他，总会忍不住插手别人的问题。中越不断为同公寓的人解决问题，渐渐把大家汇聚成为一个团体。这是一部浸透进现代人孤独的内心缝隙，给予人们勇气与身边人接触的故事。生活方式发生了改变，人与人之间的关系也发生了很大的变化。出现了越来越复杂的现代社会问题。这些不是那么简单就能改善或者解决的。尽管如此，以主人公所说的每一句细微的话为契机，在他身边原本冷漠的人与人之间开始产生了联系，世界也一点点地恢复了温柔。
